One Challenge cares for its people; this is part of the DNA of the organization. “It is our desire to make sure we have healthy people going to the field, and on the field,” says Deänne Boesel, Director of OC MemberCare. Created in 2015, the Global Care Team includes member care representatives from each region of the world where One Challenge has mission workers. Representatives on the GCT support the MemberCare department and field directors. A global team allows for skilled care sooner and closer to our overseas workers.

The team has these main goals:

  • Assessing needs
  • Building capacity
  • Connecting overseas workers to resources
  • Spreading information in all areas

The Global Care Team looks ahead to building a “resource team,” which will better serve OC workers. All forms of member care should enable OC workers to serve around the world from a place of health and strength – spiritually, physically and emotionally.
